Preparation & implementation


Preparation: We want the summer months of July and August to prepare the lectures
Setting to music, arrangements with artists and speakers as well as September/October
Use the preparation of exhibition media that grows every month. Currently planned
the following personalities:


• September 16, 2023: Hildegard Lea Burjan née Freund (January 30, 1883 in Görlitz – June 11, 1933
in Vienna) philosopher & social scientist, converted to the Catholic faith in 1909,
founded, among other things, the community of sisters “Caritas Socialis”, beatified in 2012
Lecture, reading, musical accompaniment, discussion at the KulTourPoint train station in Görlitz
• September 17th, 2023: Mira Lobe born Hilde Mirjam Rosenthal (September 17th, 1913 in Görlitz –
February 6, 1995 in Palestine), training at a textile and fashion school, the most important Austrian school
Author of children's and young adult books
Day before, reading, musical accompaniment, subsequent discussion

in the literature house “Old Synagogue”


• November 4th, 2023: Ludwig Kunz (February 15th, 1900 in Görlitz – June 6th, 1976 in Amsterdam),
Textile expert, publisher of the Görlitz leaflet of literary expressionism “Die
Living”, in which first publications by well-known German-speaking writers and
contemporary art were depicted (exhibited at MoMa New York), editor,

• November 5th, 2023: Paul Mühsam (July 17th, 1876 in Brandenburg – March 11th, 1960 in Jerusalem),
Dr. jur. Lawyer, notary, worked for the Red Cross during World War I, writer, member
the International Artists' association “Porza”, translators, formulated central questions about
Jewish-Christian understanding, lived and worked in Berlin and Görlitz, among other places,
Writer Erich Mühsam was his cousin
Lecture, reading, literary treatment of his biography and utopias in the exhibition
as well as musical processing of his love letters to his wife by Eleni Triada Ioannidou
in the Kulturforum Görlitz Synagogue.
Reading is requested by Frank Seibel (Kulturforum Görlitz Synagogue) from Prof. Dr. Gernot
Wolfram (born 1975 in Zittau, grew up in Nürtingen), journalist, writer, lecturer
and author, wrote the book “Paul Mühsam (1876-1960): The resistance of words. A
Life between Germany and Palestine”.


• November 9th, 2023 – December 10th, 2023 Overall presentation of the results in public space
the shop windows of one of the inner-city Jewish department stores including the depiction
the company and family history of the founder/owner of the house.
